While the System Settings/Defaults Screen is probably the most important screen in the system, it is one of the least used. After the product has been installed, TPC assists the user in setting up the program with this screen. We store the company name, import paths, output paths and various other defaults that may be required by a particular client. This is where a lot of the customization for each client is found. Often times, there are fields required by the end-user of the output that are not provided with the import data. These required fields may take the form of 401k plan numbers, multiplication factors, or other such fields. Any data that is required but not provided for in the import files, will probably end up as a constant factor that can be edited on this screen. By putting constant values on a defaults screen, we give the user the ability to maintain their own system. Our goal is to avoid hard coding anything that might change from time to time.
